Can you resize a regular sewing pattern for 11 1/2 inch fashion dolls?

I have purchased some regular clothing patterns(for an adult woman), but I’d like to resize the pattern for Barbie dolls and the like.

You could try, but I am afraid it will be time consuming and you may not get the desired result.

If your heart is set on it you might try reducing just one piece to see how it goes. You can visit any copy store and use the reduce function on the machine. You will have to reduce it a lot to make it small enough for the doll.
